Centre Of Excellence
The NATO “Allied Joint Doctrine for Stability Policing” defines Stability Policing (SP) as “police-related activities intended to reinforce or temporarily replace the indigenous police in order to contribute to the restoration and/or upholding of the public order and security, rule of law, and the protection of human rights”.
The NATO Stability Policing Centre of Excellence (NATO SP COE) is a multinational military body, manned and funded by Italy, as the Framework Nation, and by Czech Republic, France, Greece, The Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain and Turkey as Sponsoring Nations.
